How Averdyne got started

An interesting etymology is the basis for understanding what Averdyne respresents.

aver

transitive verb
Synonyms: affirm, assert, avow

From French avérer, from Late Latin *advērāre, from ad + vērus (“true”)

To aver is to declare something is true or to state so. This verb has a serious tone, so you might aver something on a witness stand or you might aver that you won't back down to a challenge.

dyne

noun

From the French dyne, from the Ancient Greek δῠ́νᾰμῐς (dúnamis, “force”)

The unit of force in the centimeter-gram-second system equal to the force that would give a free mass of one gram an acceleration of one centimeter per second per second.  More dyn's, more acceleration.

And so... Averdyne!

What’s new with Averdyne today

Formed in 2003, Averdyne was originally intended to bring together a group of technologists that had worked together in private industry as a means of continuing not only the work they had begun, but the spirit of collaboration that resulted in one of the most highly performing advanced technology teams within the Glaxo, GlaxoWellcome, and GlaxoSmithKline series of companies.

Sadly, the founder failed to realize that something called the "dot com bust" was in full swing... live and learn!

Time passes with new experiences, new skills, new connections an now a renewed commitment to bring clients the solutions and resources needed to accelerate their business.
